Living and gardening in Illinois, Menards is one store we often visit. And just for you, I compiled a collection of my favorite finds from last week's store visit.

Menards is like the ultimate Midwest loyalty badge. If you know the smell of fresh lumber and rebate slips, you're probably in one of their 15-state strongholds. Their stores are found chiefly in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio. Beyond that, it starts to thin out fast.
If you're from one of these states, you know why it's a great store for looking not just for gardening supplies but also for really cute garden decor items. So, here I am today, sharing my favorites for this season.
Glass Birdbaths ($24.99)

These caught my eye the moment I turned down the aisle. At $24.99 each, they feel like a little luxury without the guilt. The butterfly one has bright, cheerful colors that bring a nice pop of spring energy, even if the birds totally ignore it.
The peacock version leans more dramatic, with deep blues and greens that really stand out. I don’t always go for bold, but this one feels just right. I’m thinking of placing it near the hydrangeas where it can catch some sun.
11" 2-in-1 Sunflower Birdbath ($9.99)

This little guy is such a steal I had to do a double take. Ten bucks? For hand-painted glass with a stake and a hanging chain? That’s a two-for-one I can get behind.
The sunflower design feels warm and cheerful, and that bright blue butterfly gives it just the right pop. It’s smaller than the others but perfect for a little corner that needs something sweet. I might hang it by the porch where the finches like to fuss.
Mosaic Gazing Globes ($24.99)

These have a kind of old-school charm that made me instantly nostalgic. I picked one up and just stood there tilting it in the light like I was hypnotized. The blue and copper one especially feels classic and moody in the best way.
And the bee globe? That one made me smile. It’s playful without being too cutesy. I can see it tucked into a bed of zinnias or peeking out from under a lilac bush. It’s the kind of thing that makes a garden feel like it has a little personality.
Decorative Wooden Wagon Wheels ($19.99–$29.99)

I wasn’t looking for frontier chic, but these wagon wheels totally stopped me. The smaller whitewashed one is $19.99 and has that farmhouse feel without being too on-the-nose. It’d look great leaning near the porch or hanging flat on a fence.
The black one is bigger, bolder, and a little more dramatic at $29.99. I’m not totally sure where I’d put it yet, but I kind of want to build a display around it with mums and cornstalks once fall rolls in.
Concrete Corn Cob Statue ($59.99)

I mean. Come on. If there was ever a statue that whispered “you are in the heartland,” it’s this solid chunk of concrete corn. It’s heavy, it’s proud, and it doesn’t need to explain itself.
At $59.99, it’s more of a commitment, but honestly? It might be the perfect centerpiece if you’ve got a patch of mulch and a sense of humor. I didn’t even know I wanted a concrete corn monument until I saw it standing there like a little agricultural sentinel.
Tiered Rock Fountain with Ducks and LED Light ($219.99)

This one felt like stumbling on a secret little pond. The water flows gently over the edge, and the stone texture with mossy accents adds just the right touch of nature. I stood there longer than I meant to just listening to the sound.
The ducks are a sweet detail, and the soft glow from the built-in light makes it extra inviting in the evening. It’s definitely a splurge at $219.99, but if you’ve got a shady corner or a little patio nook, this would totally bring it to life.
Stacked Stone Look Fountain with Basin Pool ($599.00)

This one really feels like a statement piece. It’s got that layered rock look that gives off natural spring vibes, like it should be tucked next to a cabin with birds chirping in the background.
The water movement is steady and calming, and the whole setup feels solid and well-built. At $599, it’s definitely an investment, but if you’re dreaming of a peaceful backyard corner with just the sound of running water, this would do the trick.
Tall Tiered Modern Fountain with Lights ($279.00)

This one’s got a totally different vibe: sleek and structured with clean lines and a soft glow from the built-in lights. It almost feels like something you’d see in a spa or hotel lobby, just sitting there being effortlessly calm.
The texture on the stone gives the water a nice gentle sound, and it’s tall enough to make a real impression. At $279.00, it’s not cheap, but it’s a great option if your style leans more modern than rustic. Definitely adds a peaceful touch without trying too hard.
Large Tree Trunk Style Fountain with Lighted Pools ($749.00)

Last fountain, promise! It's the most expensive one, but also the most magical. This one really leans into the woodland look. It’s tall, textured, and full of those twisty little details that make it feel like it came straight out of a fairy tale.
Half Whiskey Barrel Planter ($59.99)

This might be my favorite thing in the whole garden center. Aged whiskey barrels with rusted bands and all the character in the world. They smell like oak and rain and probably a little rebellion.
At $59.99, they’re not cheap, but they’re solid and roomy and practically beg to be filled with herbs or trailing flowers. If you want rustic with a splash of attitude, this is it.
Textured Honeycomb Ceramic Planter ($31.99)

This one’s all about the finish. That honeycomb texture gives it just enough interest without being too busy, and the neutral color goes with pretty much anything. It feels modern but still warm and earthy.
At $31.99, it’s a solid pick for a medium-sized plant. I’m thinking snake plant or a big trailing pothos. It looks more expensive than it is, which always feels like a win.
Small Mosaic Insect Planters ($7.99)

These little guys are just plain fun. The bee has a bold, graphic look with those bright yellow wings, and the ladybug version is just as cheerful. The mosaic pattern gives them a handmade vibe that feels charming without trying too hard.
At $7.99 each, they’re perfect for herbs or little succulents. I grabbed one for the kitchen windowsill and now I kind of want a whole bug parade.
Speckled Owl Ceramic Planters ($12.99)

These owls are just the right mix of cute and classy. The speckled finish keeps them from feeling too cutesy, and the soft colors would work anywhere. They’ve got that little wide-eyed look that makes you smile without being over the top.
At $12.99, they’re a sweet little gift or just a fun way to perk up a shelf. I could see one holding a small fern or trailing ivy, maybe even a stash of pens if you’re feeling wild.
Large Dual-Motion Wind Spinner ($64.99)

The colors on this gorgeous spinner are bright but not too loud, and the way it spins in both directions is kind of hypnotic. It’s the kind of thing that makes you pause in the yard just to see if it’s turning.
At $64.99, it’s more of a treat, but it’s built sturdy and comes with a steel stake that feels like it’ll hold up. I could see this in a front flower bed catching evening light and making the whole space feel a little more alive.
Glass Wind Chimes ($10.99)

Soft color, gentle shape, and just enough clink to let you know there’s a breeze. The swirled glass catches the light without being flashy, and the natural twine adds a nice earthy touch.
At $10.99, it’s one of those little things that feels like a treat. I hung one on the shepherd’s hook by the herbs and it’s just the right amount of pretty without making a fuss.
Bamboo Wind Chimes ($12.99–$24.99)

Nothing beats the soft clack of bamboo in a summer breeze. It’s got that gentle, hollow sound that feels more calming than musical, like nature humming quietly to itself.
Prices range from $12.99 to $24.99 depending on size, and they all feel handmade in the best way. I love them near the patio where the wind hits just right. They don’t steal the show, they just make the whole space feel a little more peaceful.
Stained Glass Style Bee Sun Catcher ($12.99)

A little window jewelry never hurts, and this one really shines. The bee design is detailed and vibrant, and the soft jewel tones around the edge make it feel like a tiny piece of art.
For $12.99, it’s an easy way to brighten up a window, porch, or even a little shed door. When the sun hits it just right, it gives off the prettiest glow without trying to be fancy. Just sweet and cheerful.
Solar-Eyed Pug Statue ($17.99)

Is it adorable or slightly unsettling? Honestly, both. This little pug lights up at night with LED eyes and it’s been making me grin all week. Perfect for a garden path or to weird out your mail carrier in the best way.
Black and White Lighthouse with Solar Light ($33.99)

Adds a splash of coastal charm without needing a shoreline. The rotating light actually works, which feels like overachieving for yard decor. I’ve got it posted near my hostas and it feels very official.
Green Concrete-Look Cat ($7.99)

This one just quietly stole my heart. Simple and a little serious, with that perfect cat judgment expression. The weathered finish blends in nicely but still stands out enough to be noticed.
Basil Grow Kits ($3.50)

Last, but not least, I found these adorable basil grow kits. Complete with, well, everything you need. Just add water. They're pretty basic for a beginner, but I thought they make a wonderful gift, so I'm including them here!
Final Thoughts from the Garden Center

I went in for mulch. I left with photos, plants, and a mental checklist five items deep. Menards really surprised me this season with so many fun, quirky, and surprisingly pretty finds. Some are purely practical, others just made me happy to look at. And really, isn’t that half the fun of working in the yard?
Leave me a comment to let me know which is your favorite!
I would say my favorite would be the cat statue, but would have to paint it a more realistic color.
