Does Roundup Stain Concrete?

According to Bayer, the company that formulated and manufactured Roundup, recommends wearing closed-toed shoes, protective glasses, dust masks, gloves, and a brimmed hat anytime you have to work with Roundup or any other lawn care products.

How To Wash Roundup Out Of Clothes?

The National Pesticide Information Center recommends a few simple steps to wash herbicides out of your clothes safely. Please note if your clothes were soaked with herbicides or pesticides, it is best to throw those out.

The instructions listed below are for clothing items that were sprayed, not saturated with herbicides or pesticides. 

  • Remove and handle the soiled clothes with gloved hands.
  • Place the clothes into a bag, tie it shut, and leave it outside your house until ready to wash the load.
  • Wash the clothes ASAP.
  • Wash the clothes without other items.
  • Hot water wash cycles only.
  • Use heavy-duty laundry soaps.
  • Line dry the clothes outside because the sunlight will break up residual chemical particles.
  • Run an empty load in your washer to remove chemical residue on the hot setting.
  • If you are using your dryer, run it until the clothes have dried thoroughly.

Please keep the following recommendations in mind when using Roundup lawn care products. 

  • Always wear PPE when applying Roundup or any other brand of lawn care products.

  • Do not store near foods for animal or human consumption.
  • Store in a cool and dry area.
